Gavito + Maria inspired OCHO-baridas!

Around 3.40 in this video Gavito and Maria do a fantastic ocho/barida combo!

The follower's knee is resting towards the leader's and when Maria's forward ocho is advancing the leader's foot is travelling on the floor! 

You can easily modify the size of ochos and be in heaven when the pista is hardly mowing forward!
(on a fast pista use something else!  :)  )

One couple among our local teachers were intense followers of Cavito teaching that style. I participated in one of their courses in 2005. That time as a follower. Lately I have had quite a lot of spare time to spend on my videos of workshop summaries. On one of the summaries, they used this figure but more relaxed with ordinary ochos with feet smoothly moving on the floor while bodies rested in apilado light. Such a beautiful way to move!

This could help me to focus and understand what kind of musical phenomenon I like and how I would like to express them on a milonga! Not as a prepared choreography but like an instant intuitive move on the dance floor!

 Juan and Juana channel have a bunch of songs showing how they want to present the rhythms available. One of the pieces is a queen of simplicity with a repetitive pattern but still offering the listener a variation keeping the mind joyfully focused! It feels so to me;

Roxana and Sebastian in my heart!

 I have followed them on youtube for ages and they have always been among my top favorites. In 2018, at last, I got the opportunity to see a live performance with them.  To see them dance Tormenta, a song by Carlos di Sarli my world stopped! I was so hard touched by their dance, by their art! 

Later on I thought that I will  N E V E R  be able to dance that song myself. My steps would never honer the song deep enough.  -  but - when the song was played in the middle of a tanda I couldn't leave the follower on the pista but danced it and I survived!

Tango Passion in Asia: Tanguera (探戈舞人)

Pilar Alvares and Claudio Hoffman in Asia!  YouTube Erurope algorithms are not giving me this kind of shows usually. Just when I remember to search some Asian links they start to pop up!  Lovely!

They were visiting our community about 10 years ago and I still remember some of their figures for that weekend.

a Vals from Seoul

A vals from a tango event in March this year. It took place in Seoul South Korea and the performance takes together a Russian (?) tango orchestra Tango en Vivo with the performing couple Anne and Eric from Taiwan.
